AnatraCorsa finishes 1-2: a fantastic season opener!

Ducati Seattle Racing/Anatra Corsa is pleased to report a fantastic opening weekend. Lindsay, Rick and Bill started the weekend early with an Adrenaline Freaks track day on Friday running practice sessions and serving as control riders with our newest sponsor - thanks Mario and Melissa!

Saturday saw the team taking practice sessions and mentoring novice riders, Bill working turn 2 as a radio/flagman, and Marty running his first Novice heat ever - he took a solid 2nd place out of a large grid.

Sunday was the day for the entire team to race. In Formula Thunder Rick took 1st place, Alan 2nd and Lindsay 5th. Open twins finished with Rick in 3rd, Bill in 4th and Alan and Lindsay retiring from the race before the checkered flag came out. Marty started in a huge Novice grid of what was supposed to be around 50 riders. The rest of the team got to race on a dry track but right after lunch and before Marty’s heat - hail, wind and rain imposed themselves upon us and started a tire changing frenzy. Gridded from the 5th row Marty took another second in his first ever rain race.

The team wishes to thank David (Davidé on the forum and DNW consigliore) for his help on both days. He has volunteered to work the pits with Anatra Corsa this season and really proved himself indispensable throughout the weekend. As our newest team member we welcome him and all of his hard work. Thanks David from all of us - you were awesome!! We also wish to thank John Abbenhouse for his assistance in the pits and helping to keep things running smoothly this weekend.

Overall a terrific opener!
